Mail can be sent to any inmate at the Dubois County Security Center, and it is distributed to the inmates within 24 hours of being received. Magazines or newspapers can be sent for the inmate, but they must come from the publisher. Books can be sent for an inmate and must be purchased through Amazon.com. Books, magazines, and newspapers will not be accepted if they are mailed from an individual.

No mail will be accepted that is from an inmate of another correctional facility without the other facilities and the Sheriff’s approval.

All mail that is not legal material will be searched for contraband.
All mail received is required to have a return address.
